One of my oldest and closest friends, Sue Mullin, had the horrifying experience of seeing her own burning home collapse while watching news coverage of the Pacific Palisades fire. She and her beloved dog, Maggie, had evacuated safely, but she has lost literally everything else.

Her two sons are both under evacuation orders.
