About Us

We’re Sue & Cheri, longtime friends and adventure buddies, gearing up to take on the 2025 Rebelle Rally as Team 178: We Are The Storm! This will be the 10th running of the Rebelle Rally, from October 8th - October 18th, 2025. Sue’s getting behind the wheel of her trusty 2000 Land Rover Disco II—we lovingly call her O.G. Bobbie—while Cheri handles navigation. As a rookie team, we’re super excited (and a little nervous. Okay, a LOT nervous!) to dive into this legendary off-road competition together.

Our friendship has lasted over 25 years, built on mutual support, determination, and a shared love for adventure. Now, we’re embarking on our first-ever Rebelle Rally, ready to show what women in motorsports can do with resilience and teamwork.

Why the Rebelle Rally?

The Rebelle Rally is the first women’s off-road navigational rally raid in the US. It’s a wild ride—covering 2,800+ kilometers over 8 days of intense competition. We’ll be navigating through the CA and NV deserts without GPS or cell phones, using just maps and compasses to reach daily checkpoints, information that is only provided to us at 5am each morning. Imagine waking up at the crack of dawn, grabbing your map, and hitting the desert trails!

But it’s not just about the miles. Each day, our Base Camps move, meaning we’ll be setting up and breaking down our tents in the ever-changing desert landscape. We’ll be sleeping under the stars in our tents, battling dust storms that can roll in unexpectedly, and powering through 11-hour days on the trail. It’s going to be challenging, exhilarating, and unforgettable!

Meet the Team

As rookies, we’re both pumped and determined to take on this challenge. Sue, our high-energy Driver, brings fearless enthusiasm and a ton of off-road experience. She loves pushing the limits on the toughest trails and keeps our spirits high. Cheri, our Navigator, is the brains of the operation. She’s a thoughtful strategist who plans our routes using good old-fashioned tools like a compass, plotter, and paper maps. Our strengths complement each other perfectly—Cheri’s calm focus balances Sue’s endless energy, making us a great team!

Bobbie as our trusty ride, we’re ready to show the world what strong, independent women can achieve in off-road rallying. Our story is one of friendship, adventure, and unwavering determination.
