As many of you may know, our beloved Sue Bush made her journey home on Monday, October 20th. Her passing has left a deep ache in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone blessed to have known her. Sue’s warmth and kindness shone through in everything she did — from cooking for anyone who came to her table, to offering a listening ear and words of comfort. Her strength, generosity, and love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her family is now navigating the difficult process of planning services in both Minneapolis and Red Lake so that loved ones near and far can honor her memory.

A viewing and service will be held at Kateri Church, 3045 Park Avenue, Minneapolis, on Tuesday, October 28th. The viewing will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed by a service led by Fred Desjarlait at 6:00 p.m., and then a shared meal. The family will travel to Red Lake on October 29th to lay Sue to rest.

We are asking for support to help cover funeral expenses, as well as the costs of transportation, gas, lodging, and meals for the family to travel to and from Red Lake. The goal is to rent one to two vehicles to ensure that everyone can make the journey safely and be together as they say their final goodbyes.
