Four months ago, Sudhakar Sarma — a kind-hearted farmer and priest, and a devoted husband — was the victim of a horrific hit-and-run accident that changed his life forever.
Sudhakar suffered a catastrophic head injury, so severe that doctors had to surgically remove a portion of his skull to save his life — a fact clearly visible in the photos we’ve shared. Since that day, he has been in the hospital, fighting for survival through multiple surgeries, with no discharge possible yet.
Doctors have confirmed that Sudhakar is now permanently impaired. He will never be able to return to his work in the fields or perform his priestly duties — the very things that gave his life meaning and supported his family.
For four long months, his wife has stayed by his side, caring for him as his condition remains critical. Their savings are entirely depleted, and they have managed this far only through the help of family, friends and well-wishers. But the medical bills continue to rise, and further hospitalization and care are unavoidable.
We are now urgently raising funds for:
- Ongoing hospitalization and neuro care
- Expensive medicines and medical equipment
- Day-to-day expenses for Sudhakar and his wife, who has no source of income
