Support Studio West's Big Move!

Hi everyone, I'm Buzzy, a licensed social worker and owner of Studio West, an immersive performing arts studio.

Studio West is moving to a new location this summer and while you might think this is a huge undertaking while I’m going through treatment for triple negative breast cancer, I know this is the right time.

My incredible medical team (oncologist, surgeon, nurses and others) are encouraging me to plan for a future beyond cancer. So, that’s exactly what I’m doing.

This move is not just about a new location; it’s about reclaiming our space and forging a brighter future for our current and future students.

The new studio will offer easy walking access to Black Sheep and other food and activities in the Short North, making it a perfect spot for families. Our new spot will also allow us to expand our programming to include guest instructors along with specialty programming like art and music therapy.

And I could use a little help. I have been very fortunate to have health insurance and the support from my parents and Misty Linn - so I don't have the same financial hardships as others battling this same disease. I am very grateful and don’t take it for granted.

But my life has still been deeply impacted because I haven’t been able to perform as often which has impacted my income - these are funds that I always channel directly into Studio West.

That’s why we’re reaching out to you. We could use some help to cover the costs of our move and to make necessary improvements to our new space.

We don’t yet have our non-profit designation so your donations will not be tax deductible, but please know that every dollar will go directly to our Studio West program, helping children and their families navigate life’s challenges through performing arts.

About Studio West: Studio West 614 is an immersive dance company designed to foster growth, development, and emotional healing in a judgement free environment and where all students are welcome. Owner Buzzy Biddinger holds degrees in human health and kinetics and dance from Ohio Wesleyan University and a master’s degree in social work from THE Ohio State University work with a focus on mental health and substance abuse. Through dance and performing arts, Studio West helps children and families navigate life challenges, gain confidence and develop healthy coping skills.
