Hello,
My name is Alex Ferre and I work at a STEAM education enrichment provider here in San Diego, CA named Snapology. I love my work with the students and have the unique opportunity to teach them skills in science, technology, engineering, arts and math primarily through the use of LEGO robotics and engineering kits with specially designed curricula for project-based learning.
Recently, after a great day of teaching several classes, my car was stolen while I was grocery shopping. They drove away with a significant amount of LEGO robotics equipment in the car, a loss of approximately $10,000. In the future, I will take further precautions to ensure that the materials are stored more securely, however in the meantime, I am looking for ways to recoup the loss of the equipment that was stolen in order to support our classrooms as best as possible for the time being. The stolen equipment included LEGO Robotics kits, tablets used for robotics, and a competition board, among other items.
I want to make sure that the kids we teach each day are able to receive the same high quality educational opportunities that we were previously able to provide. The inventory that was stolen has affected multiple classrooms and although we are doing the best with what we have, I hope to have the material recovered for my team and for my students.
I would love help from my friends and community as I truly care for what I do teaching kids in STEAM through project-based LEGO learning! I understand if you are not able to give at this time, however, I would be very grateful if you were able to give 5 or 10 dollars to help us attain the material we need to recover to provide the best learning materials for our students.
I truly value you all and I wish the you all best. Thank you for reading about this incident that has impacted me, my family, and my work. Thank you so much for your help.
Kindly,
Alex Ferre
