Why this fundraiser matters

WESHHH and their collective are raising funds for Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School & Daffra School in The Gambia as part of their annual fundraiser event. As a collective that are children of the African Diaspora, they wanted to support a school in Africa and help students continue pursuing their education. At schools like Daffra School, and Sheikh Mass Kah Senior Secondary School, many students face the challenge of affording basic school supplies, and some may not even have the school fees needed to stay on track academically. These financial barriers can place students’ academic aspirations in jeopardy and make something as fundamental as access to education feel out of reach.

The funds raised will go toward helping cover school fees and school supplies for students at these schools, giving them the support they need to keep learning and moving forward. Every contribution can help ease a real burden for students and their families and make a meaningful difference in their educational journey. A donation, no matter how big or small, can have an impact on a student’s future. Access to basic education continues to be a global challenge, and The WESHHH collective are hoping to remedy that.
