Help Students Travel Out-of-State for the 1st Time

Hello! I am the adviser of a new club on our campus called "Going Places!" a travel club. We are a small club with only five students (9th-11th grade), but they have big dreams--dreams of traveling!

We are learning about how to budget and plan for a trip. And we decided to go to Reno, Nevada in February. We need funds to make it a reality. All of my students are recent immigrants from Central America and have never visited outside of the state of California, and a few of them have never seen snow!

The plan is to drive from San Francisco through Lake Tahoe to play in the snow and then on to Reno for the weekend. We'll stay the Silver Legacy (because they have a hot tub!), which allows us the ability to walk over to Circus Circus to play games and watch the carnival acts. Additionally, we'll spend the days exploring the city or Reno and of course, eating at a buffet!
