Student-Led Worship Night in Auburn's Neville Arena

How did RBW come to be?
In the heart of Auburn, an SEC campus in southern Alabama, eight college students came together, each with their desire to bring worship to Auburn University in a new way. First, this calling looked like holding a worship night at The Red Barn, an outdoor campus venue; thus, the name Red Barn Worship was born. On the day of the event, the radar predicted intense storms that would destroy the equipment that had been so graciously provided to us. Knowing our God's faithfulness, we continued to prepare because we had faith that the Lord was going to move in a way we did not expect. It rained and stormed up until the hour we had planned to begin setting up, but as soon as we began, the clouds parted in a circle above Red Barn. We watched the sunset and worshipped under the stars, leading hundreds of students in worship who attended. As soon as we left that night, the clouds closed, and the rain continued. We walked away knowing that the Lord’s plan for Red Barn Worship was going to be far more than any member of the band could fathom.
What is RBW’s mission?
Revelation 7:9 depicts “every people and tribe, every nation and tongue” gathering to worship and praise, and that is the calling that rests on our hearts with every breath we breathe. Red Barn Worship is entirely student-led and is not affiliated with a church because our mission is to provide an environment in which all are welcome. Our vision is that all people, regardless of age, background, or religious affiliation, might come together to worship the one true King. We pray when people come to Red Barn that they do not leave knowing our faces or names but that they walk away having truly encountered the presence of God.
What is happening now?
Since that first worship night in September, the Lord has opened doors for multiple worship nights held at the Red Barn, and more recently, one held at Sigma Chi fraternity, which brought in around five hundred students to worship. In January of this year, we felt the Lord tugging on our hearts to pursue holding a worship night at Neville Arena, Auburn University’s premier basketball arena that rests in the very center of campus. After prayer, weeks of waiting, countless hours of work, and abundant provision from the Lord, Red Barn Worship will be holding a worship night at Neville Arena on April 6th at 7:30 pm. We are immensely humbled by this opportunity, and while we might never know why the Lord chose eight college kids to do this job, we sure are grateful that He did. No matter the obstacle, we stand firm in faith, knowing that “it’s not going to rain.”
How can I help?
We serve a big God who is capable of doing big things. Now, we are in deep prayer as we kindly ask those who believe in our mission to consider supporting us. An event at this magnitude has the potential to allow the Gospel to reach more students on Auburn’s campus than ever before. With so little time, this dream can only come to fruition by the Lord’s hand through the generosity of people like you.
All proceeds will go directly to the costs required to rent the venue and accomplish this massive undertaking.
Thank you so much for your time and consideration. From the bottom of our hearts, we love you. Know that you are loved by a God who created you in His image to do good works. We can’t wait to see what He has in store for April 6th!
