Five of my amazing student research assistants have had a poster presentation proposal accepted to present at the Medical Cannabis Conference of the Society of Cannabis Clinicians.

There are two groups of students presenting. One project is titled Analysis of Health Outcomes Between Independent & Clinician-Guided Medical Cannabis Use and is an interesting investigation of how well patients do using medical cannabis with and without working with a trained cannabis clinician. The other project is titled Lived Experiences of Medical Cannabis Patients in States with Varying Legal Status which compares patient experiences using medical cannabis as it relates to the laws in the states they reside in.

The university is providing some funding for the students to attend the conference in Baltimore, but their full costs are not covered. This is an incredible opportunity for these students - they will interact with clinicians and other researchers, experience presenting their research, and grow as students and future healthcare professionals.
