Are you ready to go back to school?

Student Film: The Series (2026) is a web-series 3 years in the making about a cohort of first year filmmakers struggling and grinding to produce the best student film project. That being said, their university is a little different than most. Follow Tyler Anderson the Director, Bailey Howard the Production Designer, Georgia Kawase the Producer, Nolan Rogerson the DP, and Adam D. Obe the Editor as they try and survive the most grueling, toxic, dangerous environment known to man: film school.

Just one small problem. We're broke.

The project has been entirely self-funded by a couple of dinguses during and right after their own film school experience who took money out of their paychecks to work on and grind this series out. It's a love-hate letter to their experience, with accurate depictions of what it means to be a broke art student! We didn't know when the series was actually going to be done and didn't want to try to fund the project on the front end and have it sit in limbo (and after a handful of months-long hiatuses from the project and many delays, we were on the money with that). So instead we bit the bullet on production costs. That being said, we're at the point where our pilot is done and mastered, we have picture lock, music, and color done for 5 more episodes, a fine cut of a 7th and principal photography mostly complete for an 8th. At this point, it's safe to say we're almost done and have an actual plan/timeline for completion.

We're still wanting to submit the pilot to festivals, which is always expensive and overpriced, and arrange a showing of the series so everyone who volunteered their time and energy over the years can see their work shown on the big screen! So we come here humbly asking for donations to us as both as artists and as poor idiots so we can cover ourselves, even if only a little bit, for the out of pocket we threw into the project. As a big thank you for your support, we'll be doing a semi-regular newsletter with updates on last second progress and sneak peaks of future episodes. Everyone will also get their name sitting nice and pretty at the end of the credits!

Once the pilot (and perhaps whole series depending on the web series festivals available) do their run, the entirety of the series will be posted onto YouTube for everyone to watch for freeeeeeeee. We'll even be throwing out little extra bits on our channel throughout its run as well as other content that we produce in the meantime!
