My name is Lizzy and I love helping animals. I've been involved in rescue work since I was a kid with everything from birds to reptiles, and of course cats and dogs.

Right now I'm helping a dog very close to my heart, Strider. Strider is 15 years young and suffers from Conscious Proprioception, a neurological issue that affects his hind leg motor function and feeds into the arthritis present in his hips and back legs.

Strider previously was living with some family that found themselves in a position where they were unable to care for him and his advanced needs. He is the sweetest dog and deserves the best and I am determined to make every day of whats left of his life, the absolute best it can be. Right now we are going to try some anti inflammatory and nerve focused medications to see if we can relieve his CP.

These treatments aren't exactly cheap and its alot to try to take on as I provide for my family as the sole income provider while paying off my husband's student loans and buying flight hours for him to be able to become hireable as a pilot.

Absolutely anything helps, right now we just want to raise enough to pay for his medications before seeing if any more advanced treatments are necessary. Anything donated will go directly to him and is greatly appreciated.
