Support a 6-month old Stray Kitten's Surgery and Recovery

Hi everyone! Over these past few months, we noticed a family of stray kittens near our home. We've been providing food and water as best we can, hoping to make their lives a little easier.

A couple of weeks ago, we noticed one of the kittens limping around with a clearly broken leg, and we decided to take him in and provide a safe space for him to rest. We brought him to the vet for an examination, where we learned he has a fractured right femur and a partially fractured pelvis affecting the hip joint. Simply repairing the fractures may result in future arthritis and may warrant future surgeries. Thus, to remove the pain and improve his quality of life, he will need an amputation surgery. The surgery and additional care is estimated to be around $6,600, which includes all treatment to manage his pain and help him heal.

In the meantime, we've covered the initial costs of pain medications, are providing him with daily meals and a warm space, and we're fully committed to doing everything we can to keep him comfortable in preparation for the upcoming surgery.
