Allan’s Brain Trust

Dear loved ones, Welcome to our care fund.

The indomitable Allan Stover: of deep faith, craftsman, punster, committed softballer, loving husband, Papa Bear, joyful Opa, and wonderful friend. Together with his wife Robyn, they are beloved by many.

This spring, as they joyfully looked forward to Robyn’s retirement in June, Allan experienced some painful headaches. He was referred by his GP for further imaging and was diagnosed with a brain tumor.

Jump aboard the medical express!

Surgery is scheduled for May 22nd.

Recovery is unpredictable, and will likely effect mobility, speech, and memory. The medical team are optimistic that this will resolve with rehabilitation care, but the length of the stay is unknown and there is a good chance some of these changes will be long-term.

This has all happened very quickly- the magnitude of what the surgery will mean is still sinking in. They’ve been slowly sharing with family and trying to make time for beauty, all while preparing as best they can, and continuing to have medical appointments, and meetings with the neurosurgeon and neuroncologist.

This is where those of us who love Allan and Robyn have the opportunity to come alongside them with prayer and financial support so they can focus on getting through this experience with grace.

The funds raised here will go towards medical costs not covered by insurance and help to offset the cost of keeping Robyn and Sarah (daughter) by his side during this difficult time.

For clarity-- Isaac Lewis (Allan's son in law) is listed as the beneficiary of this gofundme, which will enable Isaac and Sarah to continue to help carry some of the daily life tasks for Robyn and Allan, as they go into surgery with many unknowns of what recovery will look like.
