Our three-year-old pitbull, Stormy, was recently brought to an emergency veterinary hospital because, over the last couple of days, she stopped eating and walking. Stormy is usually very active and is always running around the house. We found out she has a bacterial infection called pyometra. Without emergency surgery (spaying), it can be life-threatening. Luckily, we were able to afford her visit to get her medication to slow down the infection, but she still needs emergency surgery.
