Meet Stormy. Back in September, we had a microburst of storms that swept through the Chicagoland area, literally uprooting trees. One of those trees was Stormy's home/nest. Sadly, her siblings didn't survive, but Stormy thrived. It took a few days to realize something was wrong with her hind legs. After a vet visit, we found out that the fall from the tree likely paralyzed her from the tailbone down. I thought this would be her demise until my vet and I realized just how active she was! So, don’t feel too sorry for her because having no feeling in her hind legs isn’t stopping her from running through the house and climbing and being a silly playful little girl. The only thing getting in her way? Her legs. They get caught up and tangled. So much so, she broke one of them and now requires surgery. My vet says she can still live a great life without the leg, and I'm willing to give Stormy that chance. But I need a little help. Even after the discount from my vet, it's still quite pricey. So I'm trying to raise a portion of the bill. If you have an extra couple of dollars laying around, I'd really appreciate the support. I hate asking. I generally don't.
