After more than 5 long months missing, Stormi — a beautiful black German Shepherd from Waukegan — is finally home. Against all odds, she survived on her own, but when we found her, she was severely malnourished, covered in ticks, and barely hanging on. She had only hours left to live.

Thanks to a tip called in by a kind stranger, Anthony Sanders (thank you, Anthony!), and the quick action of our amazing search team, Stormi was located by drone and safely secured within an hour. It was nothing short of a miracle.

Stormi was rushed to the emergency vet, where she received urgent fluids and bloodwork. She is now back home with her family, finally safe and getting the love she’s missed for so long — but her journey to recovery is far from over.

Stormi’s health is fragile. Her blood panels are dangerously off and she requires ongoing testing, monitoring, and follow-up care. The road ahead includes multiple vet visits, more lab panels, and careful treatment to rebuild her strength.

We are raising $3,000 to help cover the cost of Stormi’s veterinary bills — starting with her initial emergency care (we will post the first bill for transparency) and continuing with the specialized care she needs to fully recover. Every dollar goes directly toward Stormi’s medical expenses and the protein-rich food she needs to fully recover.
