Please help us save Stormie! The sweet 7 month old female labradoodle was brought into see us on the ER floor by a Good Samaritan who rescued her from severe neglect. She was found soaking wet in a small crate outside and in the rain, going days without food. Her guardian angel begged her previous owners to surrender Stormie to him so that he could seek veterinary care for her. They asked a high price for her, and he paid it. Unfortunately, Stormie was so sick on presentation that her rescuer could not afford further intervention for her, so he then surrendered her to us to help save her. Stormie was severely emaciated, hypothermic and in shock when she came in to us. She had pressure sores on all of her legs from spending likely her entire life in a crate. She is requiring treatment in hospital with aggressive supportive care and medications to monitor her while she recovers. She has a long road ahead but she has already shown us that she is a fighter!
