Help support Stormie and her family as she fights cancer

Hello, my name is Tessa (Karabin) Mah, my siblings and I are starting this Go Fund Me for our sister, Stormie Morrison, and her family during an incredibly challenging time in their lives.

Following a year of unexplained illness, Stormie was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer called Angioimmunoblastic T-Cell Lymphoma (AITL) for which she has been receiving Chemotherapy treatment since January at Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) in New York.

The treatment for this cancer also requires a stem cell transplant for which she will be isolated from her children for a minimum of 35 days at MSK starting May 24th. This state-of-the-art treatment is very much appreciated but can only be done at MSK, which means she will miss all her children’s end of the year events and most upsetting, she will not be able to be home to help emotionally and physically care for her family. The purpose of this Go Fund Me is to help alleviate the financial burden that is taking place and make the family’s path a bit easier. Medical expenses continue to mount, the mortgage and other bills still need to be paid.

If you know Stormie, you know she is an extremely hard worker and prior to her illness worked 7-days a week, she is a farmer after all. You may know her from our family farm where she is a staple or perhaps have enjoyed the beautiful garden, she plants year after year for the Oncology Floor C5 at The Hospital of Central CT. Yes, she loves to work but without a doubt her favorite job is being a mom to her three children, who range in age from 7-13, and of course her dogs.
