Support Stonewall's Journey to a Pain-Free Life

My name is Rachael. I’m a mom, military wife, veterinary assistant, and a passionate animal lover. I am the proud mom of Stonewall, a resilient domestic shorthaired cat who came into our lives in a rather unusual way. He was found in an oak tree as a tiny kitten, and when I took him in, I noticed something was off with his leg. We later discovered that Stony has a fused femur.

For the past two years, Stony has been a tough little cat, playing joyfully with our lab-pointer mix and his older brother, Apollo. However, recently, his leg has been causing him significant trouble, and after consulting with veterinarians, we’ve determined that amputation is the best option to improve his quality of life.

Despite working in the veterinary field and receiving generous discounts, the cost of the surgery is still beyond my reach. We are currently supporting two households while my husband is away, which has put additional financial strain on our family.

Our goal is to raise $1,000 to cover the cost of Stonewall’s amputation. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a tremendous difference and is deeply appreciated. Any donation over the 1,000 mark will go towards a rescue organization.

Stonewall will be having an amputation but will need surgery on the good hip. We are waiting for a game plan from the surgeon.
