My church is the most special place I know. It’s been a constant source of light and truth to the community for nearly 100 years. When I say it’s a family church, it’s literally family. Nearly everyone is related in some way. We’re at a place where everything is hitting at once. We’re not in the hole, but we have several MAJOR projects that are imminent. Those projects include; total carpet replacement, total parking lot repair (which is in shambles), replacement of stain glass windows, and more. We recently started a building fund, but it’s clear that without some outlet of fundraising (which country churches aren’t apt to do), this will take a great length of time to build, as the condition of our problems worsen. Churches like mine tend to shy away from fundraising. If you know country people, you may understand why. Everyone at our church has the purest heart, and they are careful not to appear as to beg. In my experience traveling in music ministry, the commonality and power of fundraising is clear. I’ve seen first hand that it is essential in this day and time to most churches. Let me be clear; this is not the church’s “Go Fund Me.” I wasn’t asked to do this. I just love my church, and I want to see it taken care of. 100% of the proceeds will be directly given to Stoner Chapel Church.
