UPDATE:
We wanted to share a few updates on Uncle’s journey. On March 23rd, he underwent a major esophageal surgery that lasted approximately 8 hours. During the procedure, doctors removed the tumor along with the affected lymph nodes. His lung had to be temporarily deflated to allow proper access to the area, and his esophagus was then reattached to his stomach.
Following surgery, Uncle spent 11 days in the ICU, focusing on regaining his strength through physical therapy and learning how to eat again slowly. By the grace of God, he is now home and continuing his healing journey. It hasn’t been easy, but he remains strong and is working hard every day to improve.
He is currently attending weekly doctor visits and will be resuming chemotherapy treatments, with possible radiation to follow once he is cleared by his medical team.

On September 30th, 2025, Stirling received devastating news: he was diagnosed with Stage 3–4a esophageal cancer. Because of the aggressive chemotherapy he had to begin immediately, returning to work was no longer possible—no matter how hard he tried, treatment had other plans.
If chemotherapy succeeds in shrinking the tumor, the next step will be a major surgery to remove the affected part of his esophagus. As you can imagine, the sudden change in his health, paired with ongoing medical expenses, has been heavy on him as well as our family. Between weekly treatments, scans, and blood work. His insurance, co-pays, co-insurance and out of pocket exspenses has been adding up.
If you know Stirling, you know he’s the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He brings laughter into every room and extends a helping hand to anyone in need. Now, during one of the hardest battles of his life, we are humbly asking for support on his behalf. Any donation—big or small—will help ease the weight of his medical and living expenses so he can focus on healing and staying strong.
We also understand that not everyone can give financially. Your prayers, love, and encouragement mean just as much. Please keep Stirling in your thoughts as he fights to beat this cancer and successfully undergo his esophageal surgery.
