I'm Steve, hey, 41, fabrication welder. Never done this, BUT, I've been out of work at least 4 months now. I just had two amputations...

I had a toenail removed to avoid an infection, and another injury on my other foot. Continued working afterwards, and both injuries got badly infected, putting me out of work and into the hospital for ten days. Sent home to battle the infection etc on my own.

It was a losing battle, finally admitting defeat, hospitalized again, they amputated my left pinky toe entirely, and half my right big toe.

Im currently healing, but have been out of work since this started, and the BILLS don't stop. Hate to even ask, and rarely do but im in a super tight spot.

At least im healing, and hopefully will be back to work as soon as possible, I hate this. I don't want to be a disability or charity case, I genuinely like my work, and making things with my hands. It helps I work for a great company too.
