My name is Steve, and I’m reaching out because I’m recovering from a heart attack that’s changed my life in ways I never expected. Until recently, I was able to work full time, officiate, and run my small business, all while staying active in my community. Now, I’m facing a long road of cardiac therapy and rehabilitation, and I’ve had to stop officiating and can only work part time. This has made it difficult to keep up with daily expenses and the costs of my recovery.

The funds I raise here will go directly toward paying for my cardiac therapy and rehab, covering lost income from work and my small business, and helping with the remainder of my hospital bill. I’m also hoping to keep my business afloat during this challenging time, so I can return to serving my community as soon as possible.

Anyone who knows the work I’ve done with youth in our area—from the roller rink and teaching skating to being a positive influence through mentoring and sports—knows how much I care about making a difference. My friends and supporters want to see me return to that work, and I do too.
