Support Steve's Battle with Stage 4 Cancer
Donation protected
If you haven't met Steve Novak you are missing out on knowing one of the most loyal and genuine humans in the world.
He is currently in the fight of his life and needs your help for medical bills and treatment to try and beat Stage 4 Colorectal and additional cancers that have spread throughout his body.
I tell you this because I will be pledging my support to my dear friend through my 2025 Definitive Title Orioles Opening Day Block Party and future events and a portion of the registration proceeds will go directly to his cancer treatment fund but also we will be doing a 50/50 with half those proceeds going to Steve also.
He is only a few weeks out of the ICU at Mayo Clinic after living there for almost 30 days clinging to life battling multiple tumors but also full body sepsis.
The story that finds Steve getting that cancer treatment was even more insane. I was coming into
Scottsdale for a conference at the end of January and found myself with no hotel accommodation. Steve asked me to stay with him and what I didn't realize when I walked in the door was my friend was less than 24 hours from passing away. He had untreated symptoms of cancer that had him clinging to life and feeling he was so far along that he was going to just cash his chips in and fade away from this life.
I knew he needed me and I had not realized what journey I was going to take on but at this point I had no choice but to try and save my friend. I realized none of his closest friends nor his parents knew Steve was dying so it was time to rally the troops. We got his mom into town and Steve into the hands of the amazing Emergency and ICU team at Mayo Clinic Phoenix.
Fast forward to 30 days of near death, almost a few emergency surgeries. Steve fighting off enough septic infection that could of killed a horse. The ICU doctor told me a few times to stay close to his side as any minute could be his last. I was able to spend the first week with him as he was stabilized and then all his closest friends started coming into town and giving him their love and building his spirit. We all haven't left his side emotionally since and all are supporting his fight and recovery.
He has his desire to live back and isn't letting this cancer take him. He has way too much to live for. We need him just as much he needs us.
Please say a prayer for my friend Steve and please take care of yourself. Go to regular checkups. When you see changes in your body, go to a doctor as you have no clue what's going on with you without medical care. Do your physicals, get a coloscopy at 50 please. Take care of yourselves and take care of the ones you love.
Steve initially had no insurance when he was admitted into the Mayo Clinic Phoenix so he built up large medical bills and he is currently insured through Medicaid on Arizona but many of his treatments are not covered by insurance. He also has no way to work and pay rent or pay for food so any donation would help Steve in his battle with Cancer.
Please donate whatever you can as any amount makes a difference.
