Support Steve's Battle with Glioblastoma
Donation protected
Hi. Let me introduce my family. My name is Maria, my husband is Steve, and our little guy is Killian.
In May of 2021, Steve had a grand mal seizure and ultimately was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, a terminal form of brain cancer. Steve has bravely battled his cancer for almost 4 years now. His original tumor that had been resected has regrown, and he now has a second tumor that has aggressively grown, neither of which is operable. He is now bed-bound and can no longer talk.
I have taken a leave from work, but it's coming up to when my leave is over, and I still haven't found the proper care for my husband or my son so that I can go back to work to provide for my family. Even if I found a caregiver for my husband, these services don't cover care for a minor, and I can't afford daycare.
I'm not sure how long my husband has in this life, but I would be forever grateful if I could find a way to stay home with my husband and son through the summer, at least giving me more time to care for them and just spend time with my family before my husband passes. I have been lucky so far and haven't had many medical bills through this whole thing, but those are slowly adding up as well.
I thank each one of you for taking the time to read this, and if you decide to help my little family out, I will never be able to thank you enough for your generosity. If you don't have the means to donate, then I would appreciate it if you could share our story.
