Because Steven is currently unreachable, I am halting new deposits until I can re-establish contact and confirm details on the ground. This fundraiser supports Steven, who runs a small, grassroots shelter for street dogs and cats in Uganda. His work focuses on rescue, basic veterinary care, food, and safe shelter for animals that would otherwise have none, in a region where stray dogs and cats are routinely at risk of abuse, poisoning, starvation, or being killed due to lack of protection, resources, or humane enforcement. Steven provides these animals a good quality of life, where otherwise they would have none.

Due to banking and payment limitations in Uganda, Steven is not always able to receive international donations directly. For that reason, I collect funds here and transfer them to him personally so they can be used where they’re needed most.

I have worked with Steven over time and have seen consistent proof of his honesty, reliability, and commitment. Steven loves his animal family and treats them with care and kindness. Funds sent to him have gone directly toward animal care — food, treatment, and shelter — and he remains responsive, transparent, and accountable in his communications.

This is not a large organization. It’s hands-on, daily work done under difficult conditions, and even modest contributions make a real difference.
