Help Bring Steven Atal Whitley Home for the Burial He Deserves

With heavy hearts, we share the story of Steven John Whitley Jr. Atal, a beloved son, brother, and cherished family member. Since his diagnosis of stage 4 cancer in August 2022, Steven has shown remarkable strength, grace, and courage throughout his journey. His path has been fraught with difficulties, as he chose to forgo treatment from the very start.

As the cancer spread to his lungs and spine, our family faced the harsh reality that time was short. Though we had hoped for weeks together, we were given just days to prepare for a goodbye that no one is ever ready for.

Steven's final wish was to be laid to rest in Manokotak, Alaska, a place that held his heart and shaped his life. However, the cost to bring him home for a proper burial is $7,000, a burden that is simply beyond what our family can manage alone.
