Steven, my husband, is a former Army man with a heart of gold. He has always gone out of his way to help people and animals alike, rescuing strays from the streets and working with adoption agencies to find them loving homes. Even when we were struggling, Steven would make sure others didn’t go hungry, never asking for anything in return. His selflessness and compassion have touched so many lives, and he’s always been my best friend and the love of my life.

Our world changed when Steven fractured his hip, which took him out of work as our primary breadwinner. During his surgery, doctors discovered multiple cancerous bone lesions in his hips and legs. By the time it was caught, it was already stage 4. We have no life or medical insurance, and I work part time at a college, which isn’t enough to cover our mortgage, bills, and mounting medical expenses. Now that Steven is terminal, I am facing the loss of our home and everything we’ve worked for. But the one thing I can’t replace is my husband.
