This page was created on behalf of Steven Stiehler and family of Wilmington, IL. On July 25, 2024, Steven was in a horrific motorcycle accident when a driver crossed the center line and hit him on Strip Mine Road. Steven, along with 3 other bikes followed by his wife and daughter in a vehicle all witnessed the accident. The driver fled the scene but was followed, reported and later apprehended by police. The family and friends had been out to celebrate his daughter’s 8th birthday when they were headed back to Wilmington and the accident occurred. Because he was the first in the line, he was the only one hit and suffered multiple injuries including broken orbital bone, facial injuries, broken jaw, shoulder injuries, and broken bones in his foot and ankle. Additionally, the accident totaled the bike!

This leaves a tremendous financial burden for this husband and father of 10 children, ages 1 year old to 15 years old. Although his wife works part time, Steven was the primary source of income which is now missing from their lives. He will be requiring additional surgeries as well as recovery time before he can even think about returning to work, which is why we created this page for them.

This man is an amazing husband, father, and friend to many. He is a hard worker that deserves the best in life. The family has been devastated by this accident. These funds will help him to be able to recover without the burden of worrying about taking care of his family and bills piling up while he recuperates properly. Everyone just wants him to focus on getting well and hopefully getting back to where he was.
