We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for our dad, Steven Johnson, who is now facing another life-changing health battle. Just three years ago, Steven suffered a massive heart attack that led to a quadruple bypass surgery and the placement of a pacemaker. During that same time, doctors discovered an abdominal aortic aneurysm. He fought for his life with incredible strength, and through the grace of modern medicine and God, he made it through and was able to come home to our family.
Recently, Steven began experiencing swelling in his neck and went to the ER, where he was diagnosed with tonsil cancer. In the past few weeks, he has undergone multiple tests and evaluations. On the 22nd, we received more difficult news—not only was another lump found next to the original mass, but doctors also discovered that his aortic aneurysm has returned and is currently measuring 3cm. At this time, doctors are closely monitoring the aneurysm and will not be able to intervene unless it reaches 5cm.
Steven will be starting treatment in the coming weeks, which will include chemotherapy once a week and radiation five days a week. This will require significant travel to and from appointments, about an hour each way, and will place a heavy burden on our mom as she will be his primary support and transportation. We are hoping to raise funds to help ease the financial strain on our family—covering travel expenses, medical bills, and any additional costs that may arise during his treatment and recovery. Any support, no matter how small, would mean the world to us. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page would help more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read our dad’s story, for your prayers, and for your kindness during this incredibly difficult time.
