In the summer of 2018 my brother Steven Brady was diagnosed with a malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor in his right leg. He under went surgery to have this completely removed, and received countless rounds of radiation on his leg to minimize the spread. Steven did phenomenal with that part of his journey until this past December he had a hard time breathing. His follow up scans showed that the cancer that was once in his leg had metastasized to his lungs as a stage 4 sarcoma cancer.
The multiple masses in his lungs led him to an amazing team of doctors at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, who specialized in treating such aggressive and rare sarcoma cancers. Due to COVID 19, Stevens clinical trials were canceled and he had no choice but to start chemo treatments. Steven received his first round of chemo treatment earlier this month and his health has since declined.
This past week Stevens oxygen dropped to dangerously low levels and was transported locally to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he is currently on a ventilator fighting for his life. At 29 years old Steven is an artist who had a passion for various types of art which included tattoos. He is a loving, caring, and humble person who would do anything for anyone.
At this time I would like to support Steven Brady in the most fitting manner as possible by creating this fundraiser. All contributions are greatly appreciated and will help alleviate any financial burdens that are associated with Steven's treatment. There is no donation to small. if you are unable to donate, please continue to share his story. On behalf of myself and my family we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for the tremendous outpour of love and support during this difficult time.
