Support Steve while recovering from his injuries

Hi, I'm starting this Go Fund Me for my brother, Steve.

On January 31, 2024, Steve had an unfortunate accident falling off a boat he was working on to the concrete below. He fractured C-2 in his neck, broke his left thumb, and splintered his head requiring 13 metal staples and stitches in his forehead.

He spent 6 days in the hospital working to stabilize and ensure he could walk safely and manage independently at home without having family nearby.

Steve is unable to drive and is extremely limited in his daily activities and tasks, unable to lift more than 10 pounds. It is expected that he will be out of work for the next few months. While he is getting workers comp for medical bills and some percentage of his pay, it is not enough to cover his rent, utilities, and food as he was living paycheck to paycheck before the accident.

It pains me to say that Steve keeps his lights off and is using a flashlight at night to get around the house. He has been using a clothing rack to dry his clothes and he cooks meals outside on the gas grill. He even goes so far as to limit the use of his TV to one hour a day to save on his electricity bill.

His life has been turned upside down as he has to rely on the good will of others for shopping and help at home. I hope you can find it in your heart to send some financial support his way during this incredibly hard time. Anything helps!
