My sweet and generous dad is Steve Schaaf, the last couple of years he has really struggled with vertigo. I came back to visit him for his birthday this past May and he can barely walk... he must walk with a cane and he basically shuffles from point A to point B. He actually does best with holding on to someone's shoulder, using his cane and slowly moving towards his destination. He lives alone so this is really scary, it's difficult to help him as I live in Florida now. Last year he fell in the ice on the hill leading out of his apartment community, he also fell in the shower recently and had to crawl to his front door to get assistance from his AMAZING neighbor and community manager where he lives.
Thank goodness for these kind people that are looking out for him on a daily basis.
He's found that using "Pulsed Electromagnetic Therapy" really seems to help, these cost $100 per session.
He's a Vietnam Veteran and does get to the VA for appointments often, that has been very beneficial.
We like to raise $2000.00 for 20 sessions. If you can donate $5.00 or $20.00 we would be SO VERY THANKFUL!
I'm trying to talk him into coming to the sunshine state sometime soon so he can be close to us. He likes his Ballwin comfort zone so it might take awhile to convince him. Thank you for taking the time to read this, sending love to you all.
Christy
