Support Steve Rickard's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Steve Rickard was seriously injured in an accident on Jim Mountain on July 7th. Although he is out of the ICU, he is suffering from major internal injuries, broken ribs, a broken scapula, and a dislocated shoulder. His spleen was extremely damaged, he has a collapsed lung, and a lacerated liver. He is tough, but these injuries will have him out of work for 6-8 weeks.

The mule threw Laurie first, then Steve was going to ride to the trailhead but it flipped out. Laurie ran a mile just to get phone service so she could call for help. A medical helicopter arrived over an hour later and flew him to Billings. Also on site were the sheriff, Search and Rescue team, and ambulance at the trailhead. Friends and coworkers Karl, Lance, Jackie, and Ike met them at the trailhead to take care of the horses and mule and drive the truck and trailer back home.

It'll be a slow recovery to get Steve back on the road. Laurie is not able to work as she broke her wrist. We are trying to offset the cost of the helicopter, and medical expenses not covered by insurance, and hopefully help with bills including the mortgage that are building up without him being able to work.
