Support Steve Martin's Battle Against Melanoma
Donation protected
The catalyst of the American Dream has always been my father, Steve Martin. He moved our family to Florida from England in 2005, with the dream of starting a better life for all of us. The journey has not been easy, and we have faced a lot of turmoil and change in the past two decades, but through everything, my father was always determined and driven.
After losing my grandfather to mesothelioma in 2008, I prayed that cancer would not touch another member of the Martin clan, that I would never have to see another beloved family member experience that again. Sadly, as life is so unpredictable, my father was diagnosed with a rare & late stage melanoma in August. As a small business owner, Steve couldn't maintain costly health coverage, and now cannot begin receiving treatments without taking on the financial burden of medical debts.
Steve is a loving father, husband, son, ... and auto mechanic! He has a community behind him ready to support him, even if it means moving mountains. His wife, my beloved step mother, Sheila, has shouldered the burden of championing his cause and she & I will not stop until we have exhausted all resources to get him the treatments and care he requires.
If you have landed on this page, I assume that you are part of Steve's community in Groveland/greater Orlando, or you are a member of mine. Anything you are able to give in supporting Steve on his battle & road to recovery is so deeply appreciated. Every blessing I have, every success I've achieved, all of my stubbornness & independence I owe to my father. We are not giving up on this fight, just as Steve absolutely will absolutely not!
All donations received will go directly towards funding Steve's immunotherapy and other supporting care. I deeply appreciate the time you've given to Steve's story, and thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for the support you have given.
