Support Steve Jones and his family with his stroke recovery
Donation protected
Saturday June 28th
We got the call that Steve (my brother) was taken to the Emergency Room for flu like symptoms. As he was waiting to be seen, Steve started seizing. Doctors think that during that time he suffered a stroke.
After some complications he was care flighted to another hospital where he was put on a ventilator in the ICU.
Wednesday July 2 he was taken off the ventilator. Since then he has been through tests, MRI’s, cat scans, bloodwork and tons of medications.
Doctors have confirmed the stroke caused some damage to the left side of his brain. It’s still too early to know the true extent of the damage done, but we can tell he is mentally aware and understands us when we talk to him. As of right now his speech response is short, slow and hard to understand, which is known as aphasia.
Steve is currently in the hospital receiving critical care and will begin a long and challenging journey toward recovery. As you can imagine, this situation has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on our family. The cost of emergency care, ongoing therapy, adaptive equipment, hotel, meals, and transportation is quickly adding up.
We’re humbly asking for your support during this time. Prayers, positive vibes and or a donation will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to Steve’s significant other and their two boys for medical expenses, recovery needs and hotel stays. You can contribute through cash app at $MistinaRosemore, Venmo at @Misty-Rosemore, or gofundme.com
We’re grateful for your prayers, love, and encouragement. Thank you for being part of our support system
