My name is Kim Steiner.  It is with a heavy , yet confident heart, that I am reaching out in request of your assistance in helping my cousin, Melissa Donahoo and husband Steve in his battle with leukemia.  

Last month Steve was diagnosis with AML with Myelodysplasia Related  Changes.  He has presently taken his first round of aggressive chemotherapy.  Steve and Melissa  are  dealing with his diagnosis with incredible courage and are  ready to take on this battle.  In the days ahead tests will determine in what direction and what treatments are needed.   A stem cell replacement has been discussed after more aggressive chemo treatments.   

Steve is 53 years old and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and dear friend.  As we all know , he has always been a very giving person with a heart of gold.   

In an effort to best support Steve and Melissa, we are raising money to offset the cost of expenses, including medical, travel to and from the hospital, and day -to-day living expensed. Melissa has had to take a family leave from her job without pay. Treatment will take several months.
