On October 17th, I lost my father, Steve, a man whose life revolved around helping others stay healthy, happy, and whole. I am devastated and left reeling from this hole that is left in the place he filled in my life. He was my best friend and wingman. Always willing to have a new adventure or support me with mine. When I learned to swing dance he did too.. just to be able to share what was important to me. That is just the kind of person he was.

Steve was the kind of person who gave everything he had to everyone around him. As a nutritionist and lifelong advocate for wellness, he spent his days guiding others toward better health, not just through his work, but through his heart. He cared deeply, loved fully, and was always the first to help.

When he wasn't helping others, you could find him in the park practicing karate or on the dancing floor sharing my passion for lindy hop.

Steve's sudden passing has left such a deep hole in the lives of everyone who knew him, especially me, his daughter. He was the picture of health, with no illnesses or warning signs, just a man full of energy, compassion, and light, gone far too soon.

In his final months, Steve was taking care of his brother Howie, who had recently undergone surgery and was recovering from an amputation and infection. Steve devoted himself to helping Howie heal, even taking on extra responsibilities and financial burdens to make sure his brother was comfortable.

Now, we are facing not only the heartbreak of losing Steve but also the unexpected costs that come with his passing, including memorial expenses, and the debts left behind from Steve’s efforts to care for others before himself.

Most of the funds raised will go toward helping Howie’s ongoing care and covering the financial responsibilities Steve left behind, with a portion dedicated to honoring Steve’s life through a proper memorial.
