Support Steve Dunmire's Road to Recovery

Hi, my name is Kayla. I’ve started this GoFundMe on behalf of my longtime friend Lauren. On Sunday, May 11th, her father, Steve Dunmire, was in an unfortunate motorcycle accident where he had to be life-flighted to Fort Wayne. Steve suffered a severely broken leg, with it being broken in 8 different places along with one of the bones poking through the skin. He has a broken ankle and has damage to his C3 vertebrae and road rash all over his head, face, and hands. So far, he has had one surgery on his leg. As of right now, we are unsure if he is going to need surgery on his neck or if it can heal in a neck brace. As of right now, he is looking to be laid up for anywhere from 7-11 months.

Now on to finances. Steve obviously is not going to be able to work for quite some time. Thankfully, the VA will be covering everything medical. Unfortunately, there are other bills that will start piling up. And one of the main worries is Steve losing his home. We are thankful for any amount donated!
