We are reaching out to you with a heavy heart but hopeful spirit to ask for your support in a time of great need. Steve Dotzman has been courageously fighting a battle against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) — a debilitating condition that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, progressively leading to loss of muscle control. For those of you who know Steve well then you understand how a disease like ALS can not only impact his physical body, but also his spirit and mental health because of his love of outdoors, physical labor around the house, golf with friends and long walks with our dog, Bentley.
Steve is a tough and remarkable individual who has always been a source of strength, love and support for those around him. For those of you less familiar with the disease, we do not blame you one bit and can share a bit of light on the progression of his illness. As ALS progresses, it brings with it significant challenges, including increasing physical limitations and the need for specialized medical equipment and care. Despite his strength, the financial burden of managing these needs is overwhelming. Medical bills, home modifications, and ongoing care expenses are adding up quickly, and our family is struggling to keep up with these costs.
We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to ease the financial strain and ensure that Steve receives the best possible care and support. Your generous contributions will help cover:

- Medical expenses for ongoing treatments and therapies
- Specialized equipment to enhance Steve’s quality of life
