Dear friends and family.

Many of you know Steve has stage 4 prostate cancer and is now on hospice care. Theresa has been off work to care for him around the clock. I know many of you have been lifting them up in your prayers (Thank you!) They also have a big financial burden right now. I'm a writer, but I can't think of any other way to dress this up other than to come right out and say they need financial help too.

I have always loved the Christian community they have built around themselves--the people they welcome into their home--the way they love and pray without judgment--their zeal for Jesus and his saving grace. I'm so proud to be their daughter-in-law and to have been both a recipient of their generosity and also heir to their legacy of generosity. If grace moves like water, they have always been sieves, passing the grace they receive right on down.

Would you prayerfully consider easing their financial burden during this season? I know any amount would bless them and help them cover basic necessities.

They are fairly private people, so please don't blast this across social media. But you are welcome to share this directly with their friends and family whom you know would want to help them carry this burden.
