Steve’s Memorial of Life

Donation protected
It is with an extremely heavy heart that this update comes as one of memorandum.

On 4/2/25 Steve gained his wings to be with the Lord and Savior. He is no longer in pain or hurting but he leaves behind a young son and wife that now need to navigate life without him to guide them.
If you are able, please consider donating to curb expenses related to memorial services as now this is the reality that is being had.

Hi Everyone!

I am making this to help out my brother in law, Steve, and his wife, Miranda as they navigate through a quite a challenging chapter.

Around Christmas time, Steve started to develop a cough and some respiratory symptoms that continued to persist for quite some time. He went to his PCP numerous times but nothing seemed to be helping. In February, it finally got to the point he went to Miranda that he needed to go to the ER due to difficulty breathing and catching his breath. While he was there, they diagnosed him with significant pneumonia as well as multiple blood clots in his lungs (pulmonary embolisms - PE's) - enough to have him transferred to a facility an hour from their house. While he was there for 3 days, he was on heavy treatments and IV medications which seemed to be helping. He came home 3 days after being admitted on oral medications and the discussion of oxygen was also had. After returning home, not long after things started to seem like they were going backwards. When following up with his PCP again, they further stated the need for oxygen (which was a battle but finally got delivered). More medications were administered, nothing helping. Finally, things got to the point he was brought back to the ER on 3/5 and was determined to be readmitted as the pneumonia did not get better after 8 courses of antibiotics and there were even more blood clots found in his lungs. Due to the complexity of everything, he will likely be staying longer than 3 days this time with more aggressive treatments/plans.

At this time, Steve is considered stable, but critical. This medical journey is not only a handful to deal with, but the fact that Steve is the sole provider for his family and is a private contractor and doesn't have any sort of vacation time or medical leave where expenses are alleviated through that is another stressor that he shouldn't have to be dealing with. I am making this because Steve and Miranda have their hands tied currently and need to be focusing on his healing and not about finances and other stresses.

If you are able to help out in any way, please donate what you can. I know times are challenging now, but anything can help them. Attached is also:
