On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, a fire broke out at Steve and Marcia Snediker’s home in Siloam Springs, AR.
The fire was catastrophic. The house was gutted by the flames and will very likely be condemned. No one was home at the time of the fire, and the whole family is safe and sound, but the spiritual and material costs to recover are significant.
More significant is the loss. The Snediker’s home was much more than a house. It was a happy, unforgettable, and beautiful haven. Steve and Marcia raised their three children—Tim, Claire, and Tess—there. They welcomed friends and family for holidays and birthdays and every variety of special occasion there. They hosted weekly meals and Bible studies with JBU students there. They made a quarter-century of their life together there. They opened their doors to one and all. They never expected this.
If you are looking for a way to help Steve and Marcia navigate this difficult time, please contribute whatever you can. The early days of such tragedies are the most needy. God has blessed Steve and Marcia with unflagging friends and family, for which they are most grateful.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” (Isaiah 41:10, ESV).
