Steve has spent so much of his life showing up for other people. A selfless community organizer, a proud New Yorker, and a friend and father figure to so many, Steve has given his time, energy, and heart to the people around him for years. Now Steve and his wife Julia are the ones who need their community.

Over the last year, Steve has become progressively ill, and it has become harder and harder for him to get around and keep up with the needs of daily life. Julia has been caring for him on her own, and as Steve’s condition has worsened, the challenges of maintaining their home and meeting everyday needs have grown heavier.

This fundraiser is to help Steve and Julia with the practical support that will make this difficult time more manageable: cleaning and maintaining their home, transportation, cooked or ordered meals, and other daily living needs.

Julia has shared this from the heart: if Steve has ever talked with you after a loss, helped you through a hard moment, delivered something in his car, offered advice, or shown up for one of life’s important events, now is the time to return that caring and friendship.
