Stephen Watson is my teacher and a very dear friend.

Over the years of learning under Stephe, I have come to see him as a living environment of peace, love, humor, and wisdom. To me, he is an inspiring presence — the kind of soul that feels increasingly rare in today’s world.

Some time ago, Stephe shared with us that he had been diagnosed with cancer. Since then, this path has continued to unfold, asking for ongoing care, adjustments, and the steady support of those around him.

Along the way, this chapter of life has also brought some changes. Stephe has since moved on from the original Someday Farm in Killingworth and relocated to a new home in Clinton — what many of us have begun affectionately calling Someday Farm #2.

While the physical location has changed, the spirit of the place remains very much the same. Friends and students still gather for quiet evenings of meditation around the fire, and the gentle practice of Tai Chi beneath the trees. The same warmth, learning, and sense of community that lived at Someday Farm continue to live on here as well.

While his circumstances have changed, what has not changed is his spirit.

If anything, Stephe continues to meet life the same way he always has — with humor, perspective, curiosity, and a quiet openness to whatever unfolds next.

Who is Stephe?

To many, Stephe is known as a practiced Taoist and world-class martial arts instructor. He is one of the very few individuals to compete in, referee at, and teach at martial arts tournaments across every major national organization.

But those who spend time with him quickly discover that beyond his martial achievements lives something much deeper.

Behind the teacher is the heart of a poet.
The mind of a philosopher.
The wisdom of a sage.
And the playful spirit of a child.

However you have come to know him, you have likely experienced his consistent generosity toward others.

For decades, Stephe has devoted himself to helping others grow stronger — physically, mentally, and inwardly.

Now we have the opportunity to support him.

Following Stephe's Journey

Stephe has been generously sharing updates about his health through a series of YouTube videos. These updates allow friends, students, and supporters to hear directly from him and stay connected with his journey.

If you would like to follow along and hear his reflections in his own words, you can watch his updates here:

Health Updates from Stephe:

The Intention

This fundraiser exists to support Stephe as he continues navigating this chapter of life and the many practical & financial realities that come with it.

Donations will go directly toward helping him with:

• Medical care and treatments
• Living expenses during this time
• Creating the space and stability needed to focus on healing

Stephe has spent much of his life supporting others — sharing knowledge, offering guidance, and helping many of us find a little more balance, clarity, and peace along the way.

Now is an opportunity for us to extend that same care back to him.

To remind him that he is not walking this path alone.

Any contribution — large or small — is deeply appreciated.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support.

With gratitude,

Garrett
