Stephen has dedicated the last 10 years to serving the Austin community as a 911 operator. He’s known among his coworkers for his calm presence, quick thinking, and genuine kindness.

Stephen is currently in the hospital with cardiac issues and has been unable to work for the past two months.

Being out of work has made it very difficult for Stephen to keep up with rent, his car payment, and daily expenses. The mounting medical bills and ongoing hospital stays have added even more stress.

Despite these challenges, Stephen remains focused on getting healthy and returning to the job he loves, but he’s worried about how to manage everything in the meantime.
