Celebrating Stephen’s Life – Family Support Fund

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Stephen. After a courageous battle in the ICU, Stephen has gone home to the Lord. Though he fought with incredible strength and resilience.

Stephen was a devoted partner, a loving father, and a loyal friend to so many. His unwavering spirit, generous heart, and faith touched everyone who knew him. While we are heartbroken by this loss, we are also deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers during this time.

My name is Rachel Brophy, and I have the honor of being like a sister to Stephen Latchford. On Monday, June 9th, Stephen was rushed to the emergency room, where he suffered a life-threatening GI rupture. It’s the kind of medical emergency that often doesn’t leave room for survival — but by God’s grace and the extraordinary efforts of the team at Lahey Clinic, Stephen is still with us.

Right now, he remains in the ICU, sedated and on a ventilator, as his body fights to recover. His journey is far from over, and the road ahead is uncertain — but what we do know is that he is still here for a reason.

Stephen’s fiancée, Nikki, has not left his side since this ordeal began. Many of you know that Stephen runs his own business, Latchford Landscaping, and for the past few years, Nikki has been a devoted stay-at-home mom to their son, Logan. In moments like these, when life feels like it should pause, the world sadly keeps turning. Nikki is doing everything she can — standing strong for Stephen, caring for their child, and even trying to manage the unfinished work Stephen left behind when he was hospitalized.

Your donations will help ease the tremendous burden this family now faces. Contributions will go toward medical expenses, daily living costs, and keeping a roof over their heads as they navigate this unexpected and overwhelming crisis.
