Hi, My name is James Dougherty. My brother Steve has been diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. He lives in government-supported housing, in Hot Springs, North Carolina, where he once worked at a hostel on the Appalachian Trail. He is also an accomplished guitar player of finger-style Americana music. He plans to perform publicly in the near future. He is autistic and has struggled with other disabilities all his life. His only source of income is $900/mo social security and he is on Medicaid.

But he now needs a reliable car to travel the 2 hours round trip to doctors and daily radiation appointments, and there are many other medical costs and personal needs not covered. Please give what you can so Steve can get to his treatments and take care of himself and his dog, Ruby.
