I never imagined I'd need to start a fundraiser like this—I'm the guy who stays on top of checkups, eats right, and thought I was doing everything to stay ahead of health issues. But in October 2025, after routine exams and scans revealed something unexpected, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. What followed was an intense treatment path: 5.5 weeks of daily radiation to target the tumor, and now I'm in the middle of eight cycles of chemotherapy before the next round of exams and scans to assess progress and develop the go-forward plan. The reality of long-term disability income not fully covering the mounting medical bills, mortgage, utilities, and daily living costs hit hard during this time, especially as I focus on healing rather than stress. That's the moment I realized I needed to reach out for help—to bridge the gap and give myself the best chance to get through treatment and back to the life and work I love.
To everyone who has donated, shared my story, sent messages of encouragement, offered quiet support and understanding, or simply kept me in your thoughts and prayers during this unexpected journey with colon cancer—thank you from the depths of my heart. Your generosity and kindness have truly been a lifeline, helping lighten the burden of medical expenses, mortgage payments, and everyday worries so I can stay focused on healing, completing treatment, and one day returning to the work and stories I love. Every act of support—whether financial, a share to spread the word, or your prayers and good thoughts—renews my hope and reminds me I’m not facing this alone. If you’re in a position to help in any small way, it makes a real difference. Thank you for walking this path with me toward brighter days ahead.
